The Western Australian Industry Snapshots provide industry overviews that highlight emerging opportunities to drive future investment in our State’s expanding primary industries.

The new suite provides an overview of market advantages and opportunities in the State’s horticulture, dairy, edible oils, beverage, aquaculture, wild catch seafood and processed foods industries, adding to existing profiles on arable crops and the meat industry.

Commissioned by the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development, the Snapshots were prepared by Coriolis Research.

There is increasing global demand for high-quality, safe and healthy food for the rapidly growing Asian middle class. Western Australia's proximity to the region, together with our renowned safe, sustainable production systems and enviable biosecurity reputation, means WA is well positioned to capitalise on export opportunities.

The snapshots are designed to drive investment interest from a range of sources – supply chain; innovation, new product development and marketing; expansion; research, development and innovation; and public sector capacity building, education and support.

The snapshots include information on current growth trends, comparative advantages, production capacity, export details, market demand, supply chain returns, investment themes and value propositions for investment.
