My role in the department

Amber Balfour-Cunningham is a Technical Officer in Entomology working on surveillance and control of crop pests including diamondback moth, native budworm, fall armyworm and aphids.

My background

Amber has a BSc with Honours from UWA and started working for DPIRD in 2017 on management of fruit fly in Carnarvon.

She moved to the Northam office in 2018 and gained research experience working in plant pathology, agronomy, and soil nutrition before commencing her current entomology role.
