Recommended herbicides	Picloram + 2,4-D amine, Access™, Picloram + triclopyr

Herbicide: Picloram + 2,4-D amine (Group I) (various trade names: see APVMA link)
Active ingredient	75g/L picloram + 300g/L 2,4-D
Rate of for spot spraying	1:50
Rate of product/10L water	200mL
Time of application	When plants actively growing. For seedling and small trees
Remarks	Gubbing is only successful if the top 20cm of root is also removed. Biological control has not been successful so far, but agents released in Sudan look promising. For larger trees use cut stump or frill application applying undiluted chemical. Buffel grass helps prevent re-establishment by releasing phytotoxic chemicals into the soil and by competition.

Active ingredient	240g/L triclopyr + 120g/L picloram
Rate of dilution for spot spraying	1:60 in distillate
Rate of product/10L water	160mL
Time of application	When plants actively growing
Remarks	Apply as cut stump or basal bark on larger trees

Active ingredient	300g/L triclopyr + 100g/L picloram
Rate of dilution for spot spraing	1:200
Rate of product/10L water	50mL
Time of application	When plants are actively growing
Remarks	Apply as foliar spray to seedlings and small trees. Other products: Grazon Extra containing 8g/L aminopyralid in addition to 100g/L picloram + 300g/L triclopyr. Metsulfuron @ 20g/100L water applied as a foliage spray to bushes up to 2m in height. Arsenal (250g/L) imazapyr @ 500mL/100L water applied as a foliage spray to bushes up to 2m in height. A paraffinic wetting agent is used with these two treatments. These are approved for use in Queensland.
