Recommended herbicides

  • Clopyralid
  • Clopyralid + MCPA

Clopyralid (Group I) (various trade names: see APVMA link)

Active ingredient

750g/kg clopyralid

Rate of product/ha

20g + MCPA amine (500) @ 1L or 0.7L MCPA low volatile ester (LVE) for application in cereal crops

Time of application

Rosettes up to a maximum of 10cm diameter – cereal crop four leaves to first node

Wetting agent

Uptake spraying oil or BS-1000 at recommended rates

For application to pasture apply 40g/ha and apply to rosettes up to a maximum of 20cm diameter

Other control measures

Spot treatment using 100g/100L of water

Clopyralid (Group I) + MCPA (Group I) (various trade names: see APVMA link)

Active ingredient

300g/kg Clopyralid + 500g/L MCPA amine or ester

Rate of product/ha

50mL + MCPA amine (500) @ 1L or 0.7L MCPA LVE for application in cereal crops

Time of application

Rosettes up to a maximum of 10cm diameter – cereal crop four leaves to first node

Wetting agent

Uptake spraying oil or BS-1000 at recommended rates
