Recommended herbicides

  • Picloram + 2,4-D

Herbicide: Picloram + 2,4-D (Group I)  (various trade names: see APVMA link)

Active ingredient

Picloram 75g/L + 2,4-D 300g/L 

Rate of product/ha

  • 0.7L for plants less than 50cm
  • 1.0L for plants 5–100cm
  • 1.5L for plants >100cm

Wetting agent

Non-ionic such as BS-1000 @ 100mL/100L water or Uptake spraying oil at 0.5L/100L water

Herbicide: Picloram + triclopyr (Group I) (various trade names: see APVMA link)

Active ingredient

Picloram 100g/L + triclopyr 300g/L 

Rate of product/10L water

20mL

Wetting agent

Non-ionic such as BS-1000 @ 100mL/100L water

Time of application Up until flowering

Remarks

  • Also picloram 100g/L + triclopyr 300g/L+ 8g/L aminopyralid (Grazon™ Extra) used on S. tora
  • Apply as a high volume spray
  • Other products containing just picloram + 2,4-D amine also registered at 20mL/10L
