Land use planning
The land use planning challenge for agriculture and food industries is to have sufficient and suitable land and water resources to support the current and future development needs of agriculture and food in Western Australia.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development is committed to achieving this goal by providing information and advice to the Western Australian Planning Commission, the Department of Planning, and local governments to ensure their strategic planning processes give consideration to the continued growth of agriculture and food processing industries.
