The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is providing this data through a shared collaboration with the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

The RADAR APIs provide registered users the ability to retrieve data to embed within their own applications utilising an industry standard data exchange mechanism.
The data can be retrieved in various formats (JSON, XML, CSV)

Due to remoteness and harsh environments the RADARs may be submitted to, there are times when we may not receive any data. In future we will attempt to derive some of the missing data.
The radars are currently undergoing a calibration and test period. The radar rain estimates will continue to improve during this time. Please be aware that these are estimations only, and may not be accurate. New radars will be missing rainfall data as they only come online during the year.
Users of the APIs must be cognisant of these restrictions.
