All livestock owners and beekeepers in Western Australia are required to be registered and identify their stock and hives in accordance with Biosecurity and Agriculture Management (Identification and Movement of Stock and Apiaries) Regulations 2013.

What is the Brands Portal?

The Brands Online Portal is a secure website for beekeepers, livestock owners and supply chain location operators to register and manage their registrations and pay securely online by credit card.

Each time you login to the the portal you’ll need the myGovID digital identity app. This provides security for your personal or business information. See further details below.

If you do not wish to use the portal, you can download manual registration forms.

Setup your myGovlD digital identity

To login to the Brands Online Portal, you need to set up your myGovID and use the myGovID digital identity app. You need a standard identity strength (level 2) myGovlD to access the portal, which requires you to verify 2 of the specified Australian identity documents, such as your driver’s licence, passport, birth certificate or Medicare card.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t know which application I need to complete?

If you are unsure of which application you need to complete or what kind of registration you are eligible for, please contact the Brands Registration Office via phone or email for assistance. Please do not proceed with an application if you are unsure.

Do I get a PIC/BIC number straight away?

No, not straight away. Once you have completed and successfully paid for your application, the Brands Registration Office still needs to process your application and generate your PIC/BIC code.

How do I know when my application has been completed?

Once you have submitted and successfully paid for your application in the portal you will be emailed a copy of the payment receipt. Your application is then submitted to the Brands Registration Office for processing.

Your application is then passed onto the Brands Registration Office for processing. When your application has been processed and completed, you will receive an email from brandsportal-noreply@dpird.wa.gov.au confirming that you are registered and with a copy of your certificate of registration. You will then be posted your hard copy certificate and PIC/BIC/Hive card.

What do I need to complete a re-registration in the portal?

Once you have logged into the portal with your myGovID app, you first need to link your existing registration to your portal account. From there you will be able to complete a re-registration application.

Information on how to do this, and which documents you need, can be found in the Re-registration and Change of Details Help Guide.

What do I need to complete a new registration in the portal?

Once you have logged into the portal with your myGovID app, you can complete a new application for registration.  Information on how to do this can be found in the Application for Registration Help Guide.

You need to have the following information available to complete a new application for registration:
