1. Host fruit to meet one of the treatment or harvest measures below:
1.1 Be treated by cold storage at
- 0°C ± 0.5°C for at least 14 days; OR
- 1–3°C ± 0.5°C for at least 16 days (lemons 14 days).
1.2 Be treated by fumigation with methyl bromide (ICA04 accreditation) at one of the following rates as authorised by APVMA Permit #80718.
- 17.0°C–20.9°C @ 40 g/m3 for 2 hours;
- 21.0°C–31.9°C @ 32 g/m3 for 2 hours.
1.3 Be treated by dipping with dimethoate as authorised by APVMA Permit #87164.
1.4 Be treated by flood spray with dimethoate as authorised by APVMA Permit #87164.
1.5 Are at the specified stage of maturity for the following host products:
- Mature green conditions of bananas
- Mature green conditions and immature green condition of pawpaw and babaco
- Mature green condition of Tahitian lime, black sapotes
- Unbroken skin condition of pomegranate, jackfruit, longan, rambutan
- Hard condition of avocado (Hass, Lamb Hass only)
Chemical treatments to be applied in accordance with the label or Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) permit instructions.
2. Host plant and fruit to be securely packaged, stored and transported to meet one of the following measures:
2.1 Unvented packages;
2.2 Vented packages with the vents secured with mesh with a maximum aperture of 1.6 mm;
2.3 Vented packages enclosing a liner bag or liner sheet that obscure vent holes;
2.4 Packages, bins or palletised units fully enclosed under plastic wrap, tarpaulins, hessian, mesh or other coverings which provide a maximum aperture of 1.6 mm;
2.5 Fully enclosed or screened buildings, cold-rooms, vehicles or other facilities free from gaps or other entry points greater than 1.6 mm;
2.6 Continuous cold storage.
