My role in the department
Milan is based in Manjimup, specialising in avocados. His research includes assessing avocado flower behaviour, fruit quality and irregular bearing. Milan will also be exploring fruit robustness, fungicide treatments, post harvest fruit quality and conducting export chain simulation assessments.
My background
Originating from India, Milan has an Honours in Agriculture and a Masters in International Agribusiness Management. In India, Milan was employed as an Agricultural Field Assistant, assessing ways to improve production and livestock, managing pest and weed issues and reviewing environmental factors which impacted crops.
Since moving to Australia, Milan has studied at Curitn University and completed a Masters in Dryland Agriculture Systems.
