DPIRD monitors the vegetation condition of pastoral rangelands in Western Australia and prepares annual reports on pastoral condition for the Commissioner of Soil and Land Conservation to meet legislative requirements set out in the Land Administration Act 1997.
Since 2020, full reports will be produced every 5 years that detail the state, trend and risk of decline of vegetation condition in the pastoral rangelands using information derived from both remotely sensed and on-ground data. In the intervening years, shorter reports will be produced based on remotely sensed vegetation cover.
The reports in Table 1 are provided as published at the time. Note that the style and content have changed over time to meet the needs of other agencies using this information.
